(Servi Sancti Camberi). This religious Order was founded by Guaire Lord d'Arliss on the 2nd day of February in the year 906 to venerate the memory of Camber, Earl of Culdi. On the 23rd day of October in that year they petitioned the first consistory of Archbishop Jaffray for recognition as an Order and for the canonization of Camber MacRorie. After much investigation, the petition was granted on the 14th day of November in that year. The Mother House of the Order was destroyed by the Regents on the 28th day of December in the year 917, with some 60 followers being burned at the stake at Dolban.
After the Council of Ramos banished the Deryni and rescinded Camber's canonization, some of the Servants retreated into the hills northeast of Caerrorie, where Camber had been buried, and established the village of Saint Kyriell's. They remained hidden and undiscovered there for some 200 years, until King Kelson and Dhugal MacArdry Earl of Transha and Kierney emerged from the underground cave at this place on the 10th day of April in the year 1125.
